How each mode went
Each mode is graded its own way, so compare a mode with itself on other days, not with the other modes.
| Mode | Graded as | Solved | Out of time | Players |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CC Lab | exact or close | 28% | 8% | about 40 |
| Stat Check | scored per card | 48% | 23% | about 35 |
| Order Forge | exact order or nothing | 23% | 6% | about 45 |
| Quiz | one answer per question | 46% | 6% | about 50 |
| Reconstruct | exact recipe or nothing | 48% | 10% | about 30 |
| Chronoscope | exact checkpoint or nothing | 3% | 22% | about 35 |
How these numbers are made
- Only official first attempts count: bot opponents, replays, owner takes and test runs are excluded, and each player counts once per question.
- Every community number comes from at least 20 players; player counts are rounded.
- Each mode is graded differently, so mode rates are not comparable with each other.

Idea 1
Compare champion stats
Base stats are what a champion has before items, runes and other bonuses are added. Two champions can differ clearly in a stat such as health, armor or attack range, and those differences shape how each one trades in lane.

Zilean is the answer (higher wins, difference 27). On this day's Daily
At level 1, which champion has more base mana: Zilean or Zoe?
Answer: Zilean
Zilean has 452 and Zoe has 425 base mana at level 1, so Zilean is higher.
Remember: Compare base stats at the level the question gives, before any items or runes.
Idea 2
Cooldown under items
Ability haste shortens cooldowns, but not by subtracting seconds. The base cooldown is scaled by one hundred divided by one hundred plus your total haste, so every extra point of haste removes a little less time than the one before. Haste from an item can also be limited to certain ability slots, so which slots an item's haste applies to matters as much as how much it gives.

Draven E - Stand Aside has a rank 1 cooldown of 16 seconds. With Hubris, what is its cooldown?
Answer: 14.5 seconds
Draven E - Stand Aside has a cooldown of 16 seconds at rank 1. Hubris grants 10 Ability Haste, so this ability uses 10 haste in total. Ability Haste divides the cooldown: 16 seconds x 100 / (100 + 10) = 14.5 seconds.
- 16 × 100 / (100 + 10) = 14.5 s
Remember: Add up the haste that applies to that ability slot, then scale the base cooldown by one hundred over one hundred plus haste.
Idea 3
Wave XP checkpoints
Every minion wave gives a fixed amount of experience to the champions who share it, so a laner who takes every minion reaches each early level on a predictable wave rather than at a set minute. Cannon minions are worth more experience than the others, which is why some level-ups line up with cannon waves.

Find the first wave where a duo laner reaches Level 6.
Answer: Wave 13 (6:30)
A duo laner reaches Level 6 at Wave 13 (6:30): 2552.55 XP, threshold 2400 XP; Level 6 (1st melee in wave). The wave before, Wave 12 (6:00), is Level 5 with 2371.20 XP.

Ability cooldown by rank · question 1What is the rank 1 cooldown of Ornn E - Searing Charge?Answer: 14 seconds
Lesson 1
Ability cooldown by rank
The idea
An ability does not have one fixed cooldown: it is listed per rank, and ranking the ability up usually shortens it. Neighbouring ranks are different answers, so the rank named in the question is part of the fact you are recalling.
The question as asked
What is the rank 1 cooldown of Ornn E - Searing Charge?
- A.11 seconds
- B.8 seconds
- C.14 seconds(correct answer)
- D.13.5 seconds
The explanation
Ornn E - Searing Charge has a rank 1 cooldown of 14 seconds (14 / 13.5 / 13 / 12.5 / 12 across its ranks).
Remember: A cooldown belongs to a rank, so always check which rank is being asked about.

Map mechanics · question 4How much total gold is the first cannon minion wave worth?Answer: 153 gold
Lesson 4
Map mechanics
The question as asked
How much total gold is the first cannon minion wave worth?
- A.140 gold
- B.152 gold
- C.153 gold(correct answer)
- D.102 gold
The explanation
The first cannon wave is wave 3, at 1:30 — 3 melee + 3 caster + 1 cannon. Minions take their first stat and gold upgrade at 0:30, so that cannon is already worth 51, not its 50 starting value. The wave is 153 gold if you last-hit every minion in it (patch 26.15).

Smite timing · question 7You are holding two Smite charges and you cast one. What is the shortest time before you can cast Smite again?Answer: 15 seconds
Lesson 7
Smite timing
The idea
Smite's timing involves three separate ideas that are easy to merge: how long a charge takes to come back, the short lockout between two casts, and the moment the recharge clock starts. Telling them apart is what lets you plan Smite for a contested objective.
The question as asked
You are holding two Smite charges and you cast one. What is the shortest time before you can cast Smite again?
- A.15 seconds(correct answer)
- B.90 seconds
- C.60 seconds
- D.10 seconds
The explanation
With a charge already banked you are not waiting on the 90 seconds recharge — you are waiting on the 15 seconds lockout between casts. Smite holds up to 2 charges, and that lockout is what stops you spending both at once.
Remember: Keep Smite's recharge, its lockout between casts and the start of its recharge as three separate things.

Cooldown under items · question 10Draven E - Stand Aside has a rank 1 cooldown of 16 seconds. With Hubris, what is its cooldown?Answer: 14.5 seconds
Lesson 10
Cooldown under items
The idea
Ability haste shortens cooldowns, but not by subtracting seconds. The base cooldown is scaled by one hundred divided by one hundred plus your total haste, so every extra point of haste removes a little less time than the one before. Haste from an item can also be limited to certain ability slots, so which slots an item's haste applies to matters as much as how much it gives.
The question as asked

- A.13.6 seconds
- B.12.7 seconds
- C.14.5 seconds(correct answer)
- D.14.4 seconds
The explanation
Draven E - Stand Aside has a cooldown of 16 seconds at rank 1. Hubris grants 10 Ability Haste, so this ability uses 10 haste in total. Ability Haste divides the cooldown: 16 seconds x 100 / (100 + 10) = 14.5 seconds.
- 16 × 100 / (100 + 10) = 14.5 s
- Why not 14.4 seconds? Reads ability haste as a percentage cut instead of dividing the cooldown.

Cooldown under items · question 20Vel'Koz E - Tectonic Disruption has a rank 1 cooldown of 12 seconds. With Luden's Echo, what is its cooldown?Answer: 10.9 seconds
Lesson 20
Cooldown under items
The idea
Ability haste shortens cooldowns, but not by subtracting seconds. The base cooldown is scaled by one hundred divided by one hundred plus your total haste, so every extra point of haste removes a little less time than the one before. Haste from an item can also be limited to certain ability slots, so which slots an item's haste applies to matters as much as how much it gives.
The question as asked
Vel'Koz E - Tectonic Disruption has a rank 1 cooldown of 12 seconds. With Luden's Echo, what is its cooldown?
- A.10.9 seconds(correct answer)
- B.10 seconds
- C.10.5 seconds
- D.10.8 seconds
The explanation
Vel'Koz E - Tectonic Disruption has a cooldown of 12 seconds at rank 1. Luden's Echo grants 10 Ability Haste, so this ability uses 10 haste in total. Ability Haste divides the cooldown: 12 seconds x 100 / (100 + 10) = 10.9 seconds.
- 12 × 100 / (100 + 10) = 10.9 s
- Why not 10 seconds? The cooldown with a different first item.
- Why not 10.8 seconds? Reads ability haste as a percentage cut instead of dividing the cooldown.
How ability haste shortens a cooldown Vel'Koz E (Tectonic Disruption), rank 1
12 sBase cooldown×100 / (100 + 10)10 ability haste=10.9 sFinal cooldownFormula: base × 100 / (100 + haste). Exact value 10.91 s, shown as nearest 0.1 s.

Remember: Add up the haste that applies to that ability slot, then scale the base cooldown by one hundred over one hundred plus haste.

Lesson 24
Resistance mitigation percent
The question as asked
A champion has 100 armor and buys Zhonya's Hourglass, which gives 50 armor (now 150 armor). Ignore penetration and every other effect. Compared with before the purchase, by what percent does the physical damage they take go down? Round to the nearest whole percent.
- A.20%(correct answer)
- B.60%
- C.10%
- D.25%
The explanation
Damage taken = 100 / (100 + armor). Before: 50.0% of raw physical damage. After: 40.0%. 40.0 / 50.0 = 0.800, a 20.0% cut, so 20%. (The mitigation itself rose 10.0 percentage points — a different number.)
